Healing the Blind Story - Bible

As Jesus was walking along the road, He saw a man who had been blind since he was born. Jesus' disciples asked Him, 'Teacher, why was this man born blind? Did he sin, or did his parents sin?'

Jesus answered, 'Neither this man nor his parents sinned. He was born blind so that God's power could be shown in him. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.'

After saying this, Jesus spit on the ground. He made some mud with the saliva. He put the mud on the blind man's eyes. Then Jesus said to him, 'Go and wash in the Pool of Siloam.'

The man went to the pool. He washed the mud off his eyes. When he came back, he could see! For the first time in his whole life, he saw colors, faces, trees, and the sky. He was so happy!

The neighbors and people who had seen him begging before asked, 'Isn't this the same man who used to sit and beg?' Some said, 'Yes, it is him.' Others said, 'No, he just looks like him.'

But the man said, 'I am the one.'

They asked him, 'How did you get your sight?'

He answered, 'The man named Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed. Then I could see.'

They asked, 'Where is this man?' He said, 'I don't know.'

The people brought the man to the Pharisees, who were religious leaders. They asked him again how he had received his sight. The man told them, 'He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and now I can see.'

Some of the Pharisees said, 'This man Jesus is not from God. He does not work on the Sabbath day.' (Jesus had healed the man on a Sabbath day.) Others asked, 'How can a sinner do such miraculous signs?' So the Pharisees were divided.

They asked the man again, 'What do you say about him? It was your eyes he opened.'

The man replied, 'He is a prophet.'

The Pharisees did not believe that the man had been blind. They called his parents and asked them, 'Is this your son? Was he born blind? How can he see now?'

His parents answered, 'We know he is our son. We know he was born blind. But we don't know how he can see now. He is old enough. Ask him.'

The Pharisees called the man again. They said, 'Give glory to God! We know that this man Jesus is a sinner.'

The man answered, 'I don't know if he is a sinner. But I do know one thing. I was blind, and now I can see!'

They asked him again, 'What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?'

The man said, 'I already told you. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples too?'

They were angry and said, 'You are his disciple. We are disciples of Moses. We know that God spoke to Moses. But we don't even know where this man comes from.'

The man answered, 'That is really surprising! You don't know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens only to those who worship him and do his will. Nobody has ever heard of anyone opening the eyes of a man born blind. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.'

The Pharisees were very angry. They threw the man out of the synagogue.

Jesus heard that they had thrown the man out. He found him and asked, 'Do you believe in the Son of Man?'

The man asked, 'Who is he, sir? Tell me so I can believe in him.'

Jesus said, 'You have now seen him. In fact, he is the one speaking with you.'

The man said, 'Lord, I believe.' Then he worshiped Jesus.

Jesus said, 'I came into this world to judge. I came so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.'

Some Pharisees who were with him heard this. They asked, 'What? Are we blind too?'

Jesus said, 'If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin. But you claim to see. Your guilt remains.'

The blind man trusted Jesus even when everyone else was against him. He stood up to the religious leaders and told them the truth. Because he believed, he was able to see with his eyes and with his heart. Jesus gives sight to everyone who trusts in Him.

The Healing the Blind story teaches hope and care. It shows God’s compassion for the suffering. This story highlights faith and miraculous healing.
