Cain and Abel Story - Bible
Send Wishes with Message Magic in Your Language. After Adam and Eve left the garden, they had two sons. The first son was named Cain. The second son was named Abel.
When the boys grew up, Cain became a farmer. He worked hard in the fields and grew vegetables and grains. Abel became a shepherd. He took care of sheep.
One day, Cain and Abel brought gifts to give to the Lord. Cain brought some of the food he had grown. Abel brought the best sheep from his flock. He chose the firstborn lambs and the fattest ones.
The Lord was pleased with Abel and his gift. But the Lord was not pleased with Cain and his gift.
Cain became very angry. His face showed how upset he was. The Lord said to Cain, 'Why are you angry? Why does your face look so sad? If you do what is right, I will accept you. But if you do not do what is right, sin is waiting at your door. It wants to control you, but you must rule over it.'
But Cain did not listen to God. He called his brother Abel to go out to the field with him. While they were in the field, Cain became very jealous and angry. He attacked his brother Abel and killed him.
Then the Lord said to Cain, 'Where is your brother Abel?'
Cain answered, 'I do not know. Am I supposed to take care of my brother?'
The Lord said, 'What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood is crying out to me from the ground. You are cursed from the ground that opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood. When you work the ground, it will no longer grow good crops for you. You will wander the earth, always moving from place to place.'
Cain said to the Lord, 'My punishment is more than I can bear. You are forcing me to leave the land. If I wander the earth, anyone who finds me will kill me.'
The Lord said, 'No. If anyone kills Cain, he will be punished seven times worse.' The Lord put a mark on Cain to protect him. Then Cain went away from the Lord's presence and lived in a land called Nod, which means 'wandering.'
Adam and Eve were very sad. They had lost one son to death and another son to wandering. But God gave them another son named Seth. Seth grew up to be a good man who loved God.
The story of Cain and Abel teaches us that God sees our hearts. He knows when we are jealous or angry. He wants us to do what is right and to love others. God also shows mercy, even when we make bad choices. He protected Cain, even though Cain had done a terrible thing.
